It is the message of a sultan written on a piece of leather. Imperishable, victorious and saving..
The Bold Leader
Having extended his dominions and returned victorious, the Sultan thought it prudent to choose a new guard of his complete confidence. He then arranged for two of his best warriors to come to the palace to choose the boldest; and to give a tribute in the name of their loyalty. The first gave ten thousand bows of wood and horn, which could shoot several arrows in succession. The second paid his respects along with countless leather scrolls, and recalled their use in battle to ward off the cold and send messages. After a brief analysis and to the amazement of all; the Sultan declared both winners, and, although it was rumoured that he lacked judgement, never had the army looked better dressed and armed.
The Bold Leader is a micro-story inspired by the potency of the Ottoman Leather fragrance and the strength conveyed by the painting of the same name. It is the message of a sultan written on a piece of leather. Imperishable, victorious and saving.
