Cacique is one of the pillars of our collection — a fragrance of power, lineage, and character. It is an olfactory and historical portrait of the supreme leader of the Cuban Taíno people: the tribal chief, the alpha, the king to whom all honors were rendered. This is not a fragrance for everyone, because not everyone is born with royal blood… and not everyone is meant to lead.
The opening is bold and spicy. Pink pepper and juniper berries strike first, softened by labdanum and neroli, creating an elegant contrast between strength and refinement. From the very beginning, Cacique makes it clear that it is designed for a confident, self-aware wearer.
Neroli and pinewood balance the initial sweetness, adding a subtle liqueur-like nuance that seamlessly connects with the heart. As the fragrance dries down, natural Indian oud becomes the true protagonist, accompanied by creamy sandalwood. This oud does not overpower but structures the composition, allowing patchouli to emerge alongside waves of incense and vetiver.
Orris adds a dry, earthy, and wild facet, reinforcing the primitive and ancestral spirit inspired by the native Caribbean cultures. The scent becomes deep, tribal, and magnetic.
In the base, oud appears once again — this time Cambodian, softer and slightly sweet — blended with musk and vanilla. A delicate burnt caramel accord runs through the composition as a historical echo: a symbolic and poignant tribute to the tragic fate of many caciques during colonization, who met their end at the stake.
Cacique is a woody, spicy fragrance with an oriental soul. Powerful, challenging, and deeply emotional. A perfume not meant to please everyone, but to be remembered by those bold enough to wear it.
